Results from Monaco 16th May 2010

Final standings

NOTE: After the race, Michael Schumacher was given a stupid and unfair penalty for overtaking Fernando Alonso in perfect accordance with the regulations, demoting him to 12th. Call it karma I guess, cancelling out one of the many times he's cheated other people out of places and points.

1st: Mark Webber (Red Bull), 25 points
2nd: Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull), 18 points
3rd: Robert Kubica (Renault), 15 points
4th: Felipe Massa (Ferrari), 12 points
5th: Lewis Hamilton (McLaren), 10 points
6th: Fernando Alonso (Ferrari), 8 points
7th: Nico Rosberg (Mercedes), 6 points
8th: Adrian Sutil (Force India), 4 points
9th: Vitantonio Liuzzi (Force India), 2 points
10th: Sebastien Buemi (Toro Rosso), 1 point

Other finishers (2 points each)

NOTE: The way our rules are currently phrased, I have to classify Petrov, Chandhok and Trulli as "finished" because f1.com classify them that way, however that's clearly bonkers, so the rule has been changed for the next race - see the rules for details.

Jaime Alguersuari (Toro Rosso)
Michael Schumacher (Mercedes)
Vitaly Petrov (Renault)
Karun Chandhok (Hispania)
Jarno Trulli (Lotus)

Fastest lap

Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) (10 points)

Qualifying

1st: Mark Webber (Red Bull), 25 points
2nd: Robert Kubica (Renault), 18 points
3rd: Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull), 15 points
4th: Felipe Massa (Ferrari), 12 points
5th: Lewis Hamilton (McLaren), 10 points
6th: Nico Rosberg (Mercedes), 8 points
7th: Michael Schumacher (Mercedes), 6 points
8th: Jenson Button (McLaren), 4 points
9th: Rubens Barrichello (Williams), 2 points
10th: Vitantonio Liuzzi (Force India), 1 point

Points contributions by drivers

Drivers contribute championship points, plus 2 points for a finish, all multiplied by their weighting at the start of the race weekend.

Robert Kubica: 35 x 3 = 105 points
Mark Webber: 52 x 1.5 = 78 points
Sebastian Vettel: 45 x 1 = 45 points
Felipe Massa: 26 x 1.5 = 39 points
Lewis Hamilton: 22 x 1.5 = 33 points
Nico Rosberg: 16 x 2 = 32 points
Vitantonio Liuzzi: 5 x 5 = 25 points
Michael Schumacher: 8 x 2.5 = 20 points
Karun Chandhok: 2 x 10 = 20 points
Adrian Sutil: 6 x 3 = 18 points
Sebastien Buemi: 3 x 6 = 18 points
Jarno Trulli: 2 x 8 = 16 points
Jaime Alguersuari: 2 x 7 = 14 points
Vitaly Petrov: 2 x 5 = 10 points
Fernando Alonso: 10 x 1 = 10 points
Rubens Barrichello: 2 x 4 = 8 points
Jenson Button: 4 x 1.5 = 6 points

Team points

Teams score the average of their drivers' unweighted points (which is the same as adding them up and halving the result), multiplied by the team's weighting.

Renault: 18.5 x 4 = 74 points
Red Bull: 48.5 x 1 = 49 points
Mercedes: 12 x 2 = 24 points
Force India: 5.5 x 4 = 22 points
McLaren: 13 x 1.5 = 20 points
Ferrari: 18 x 1 = 18 points
Toro Rosso: 2.5 x 6.5 = 16 points
Hispania: 1 x 9.5 = 10 points
Lotus: 1 x 8 = 8 points
Williams: 1 x 4.5 = 5 points
